Dear Capt S.J.Hayakwan
I am writing to ask permission to film a 2 minute opening thriller sequence for my media coursework on MOD property. The area I would like to film on is behind the air cadet building (marked on the satellite picture at the bottom).
The cast and crew will come to a maximum of 13 people, including myself. We will also like to have a car to carry our equipment. We would like access through the gate and permission to film on the small patch of grass as well as in the fringe of the woods. We will be using props, such as; tents, water filled beer bottles, fake cigarettes and snacks. Our equipment will consist of a camera (with tripod|) and lights. If possible - permission to make a small fire would be very helpful. I have a few release forms that necessary for us to fill out prior to filming, and I can ask Cpl Board - or myself - to deliver them to you for signing at your convenience before the shoot. I will also need to do a risk assessment which will need to be read and signed.
We need to do the filming in the next 3 weeks and are flexible with hours after school as well as weekends. We need to start setting up for filming before dark but film after dark. We would need to do the filming over a couple of days, allowing us to do sound and lighting checks.
If you wish, we can send you a copy of our film sequence once it has been edited.
Yours sincerely
N.L.V.Board
I need to give a copy to another one of the capt at the barracks.
